Ellie Lippy - President

My name is Ellie and I’m from York County, PA. I am a third year student and very excited to be the SNAPS president this year! In my free time, I enjoy hanging out with my dogs, cooking, and fishing. After graduation, I’m leaning towards either working in the ER or L&D!

Tanner Lafferty - Vice President

My name is Tanner and I’m a junior nursing student from Jenkintown, Pennsylvania. I’ve loved getting to be a part of the BOD the past two years and can’t wait for another great year! As VP, I am so excited to help create connections between underclassmen and upperclassmen and to help our association run smoothly! I have really enjoyed getting to know other nursing students and taking advantage of the various opportunities SNAPS provides to us and hope to continue this throughout the year. I’m looking forward to meeting all the new members and working together to make this another successful year for SNAPS!

 

Nicole Farmer - Secretary

I am a third year nursing student from California. This will be my third year as an active member and second year on leadership. I love everything about SNAPS including its professional development opportunities, community outreach, and getting to know so many nursing students and can’t wait to continue to be a part of it!

Sammi Wayne - Treasurer

I’m Sammi Wayne and am a junior at University Park holding the treasurer position this year! I am from Coatesville, Pennsylvania and have been a part of SNAPS since fall of freshman year. Besides focusing on my studies, I love to read, rock climb, and do anything spooky! I am working on my certificate in Forensic Nursing, and am interested in Forensic, NICU nursing or working with those who have craniofacial anomalies!

Kaitlyn Pasi - Fundraising Chair

My name is Kaitlyn Pasi and I am a junior from Westerville, Ohio. I have been an active member in SNAPS since my freshman year and I am very happy to serve as the Fundraising Chair for University Park this year. I have loved being part of this club because it’s given me so many opportunities and allowed me to create many new friendships. After graduation, I hope to become a nurse in the Intensive Care Unit while specializing in cardiology and later further my education to become a nurse practitioner. I am excited to make more memories this year and see what we can all accomplish! 

Elizabeth DeMarco - Public Relations

I am looking forward to another year as the PR chair! I am originally from Tunkhannock, Pennsylvania. At Penn State, I am in Navy ROTC. Upon graduation in the spring, I will enter the Navy Nurse Corps. I have enjoyed being active in SNAPS throughout my time at Penn State through its opportunity, service, and professional development. I look forward to what is to come this year!

 

Jacqueline Shaffer - Breakthrough to Nursing (BTN) Chair

I am a sophomore nursing student from Long Island, New York. I love getting involved in clubs and going to football games. I am excited to take on this new position by being a resource to fellow SNAPS members for inclusive events on campus. Our goal is to create a fun, supportive environment to benefit SNAPS members through the upcoming year!

 

Reem Husein - Legislative Chair

I am a freshman from Bethlehem, PA. In my free time I like to workout and hang out with friends. As of right now, I’m interested in becoming an NP!

 

Alexis Parks - Community Service Co-Chair

My name is Alexis and I am Co Community Service Chair with my good friend and roommate Isabela. I am currently a sophomore and have loved every second at Penn State. I come from a small town and live on a dairy farm so coming to such a large university was a change of pace. I love spending time with friends and am incredibly grateful for all the amazing people I’ve met through this program. I am a huge country music and football fan, always looking for a fun tailgate with friends. After school, I hope to gain my SANE certification as well as work as a travel nurse to explore parts of the country and as well as work in trauma. As a member of SNAPS, I have loved all of the learning opportunities that have come up about navigating our profession as well as being a support system to lean on when going through our program.

Isabela Mendez - Community Service Co-Chair

I am so happy to be your co-community service chair alongside my amazing friend Alexis this year. I am a sophomore from north Jersey, and being at Penn State has been an unforgettable experience. I love football, hanging out with my friends and family, and going to concerts! I hope to become an OB or pediatric nurse after graduation. My goal for SNAPS this year is to get our members fully involved in our community through new and exciting opportunities. I am so excited to be apart of the SNAPS board this year and continue my involvement in the club. Here’s to a great year!

Kieran Cook - CON Ambassador Co-Chair

I am happy to serve as your CON Ambassador for the coming year. I am a second year nursing student from Long Island NY and this will be my second year on the board. Serving as CON Ambassador allows me to co-plan our career fair this year as well as be the liaison between student nurses and the college. I look forward to creating connections between you, the school and future employers.

Ella Dehmey - CON Ambassador Co-Chair

I’m a second year student at University Park. I’m from Elizabethtown, PA (next door to Hershey). I am one of the CON Ambassador Chairs and this will be my second year as an active SNAPS member! I am also working on my Nursing Forensics Certificate and a part of Schreyer Honors College. I hope to work in an Emergency Department out of college and work on my Pre-hospital RN certification. I’m excited to be able to connect SNAPS to other resources and promote our amazing nursing program!

Tommy McGauley - Social Co-Chair

I’m Tommy and I’m a sophomore from Philly. I have been an active member of SNAPS right from the start and can’t wait to be a co-social chair. I’m excited to bring the SNAPS community closer together through various fun events. I’m very excited to meet everyone and hope to make meaningful connections and memories.

Cheney Thompson - Social Co-Chair

My name is Cheney Thompson and I am a sophomore from Carlisle, PA. I am hoping to be an ER or ICU nurse eventually. At Penn State, I am on SNAPS, a club swim officer, and am very involved in THON. In my free time, I like to lift, bike, and read!

Emma Paris - THON Executive Chair

I am a senior nursing student from Pittsburgh, PA. This will be my third year on the SNAPS board and my second year as THON Executive Chair. Outside of SNAPS, I enjoy camping, hiking, running, hammocking… pretty much anything outdoors. This year, I’m looking forward to working with the other SNAPS THON chairs as well as with Kinesiology Club to make THON 2024 as memorable as possible! #FTK

Fima Sissoko - THON Finance Chair

I am from Indiana, PA. I am a junior and this is my second year on SNAPS board! I love hanging out with my friends shopping and trying new things to keep from getting bored. I’m so excited to meet all of you! 

Lacey Roth - THON Fundraising Chair

My name is Lacey Roth from Gilbertsville, PA, and I am a sophomore. I am working towards a double minor in Child Maltreatment and Advocacy Studies and Human Development and Family Studies. In my free time, I love to read and cook. This is my first year serving on the Board of Directors, and I am excited for all we will do this year. After attending THON last year, I can not wait to serve as your THON fundraising chair this year!

Sarah McCloskey - President

My name is Sarah McCloskey, and I am currently a senior at the Hershey campus. I am from a small town called Belle Vernon, PA, which is about 45 minutes south of Pittsburgh. Obviously, I am a nursing major, but I am also working on 3 minors and a certificate during my four years at Penn State. These include Psychology, Child Maltreatment & Advocacy Studies, and Deafness & Hearing Studies with my certificate being in Nursing Forensics. In my free time, I am an avid reader, amateur photographer, true crime fan, and dog mom to my soon-to-be 3 year-old puppy, Nyx. I have loved being involved in SNAPS since my first semester at UP and am so excited to be serving on the board for a third term. I was previously the THON FR Chair and UP President, and I am honored to continue to serve in the role of President for the Hershey campus. I also previously had the pleasure of being on the NSNA Board of Directors as Director East and as Vice President for a period of time. I’m looking forward to a wonderful year full of fun, memories, and growth with all of you!

Sofia Dinardi- Vice President

I’m Sofia Dinardi and I’m a senior from Huntingdon, PA. I’ve been an active member of SNAPS since freshman year and it has brought me closer to other nursing students, provided me with resources to better prepare me for my future, and has motivated me to become more involved in the community and THON. My goals as Hershey Vice President include making unique apparel, as well as making meaningful mentor/mentee groups to further build relationships within SNAPS. I’m so excited for the 2023-2024 SNAPS year and I can’t wait to meet new members and see everything we can accomplish!

Alexa Novak - Secretary

Hi! I am a senior from Cleveland, Ohio and I have been involved in SNAPS since my freshman year. I have two dogs, Archie and Zeke, that are incredibly cute. I’m so excited to be serving as secretary in Hershey and for another great year!

Olivia Cheslock - Fundraising Chair

My name is Olivia Cheslock and I’m currently a junior from Jonestown, PA. I’ve been an active member in SNAPS since my freshman year and I’m so excited to be this year’s fundraising chair! SNAPS has helped me meet so many new friends and begin to form connections with others within the nursing department. I plan to continue to build on our fundraisers, and can’t wait to meet new members! After graduation I would love to go into pediatrics or labor and delivery. I can’t wait to see what this year brings!

 

Luke Finestone - Community Service Chair

Hey everyone, my name is Luke and I’m going to be the community service chair at the Hershey campus this year. I’ve been on the board for SNAPS the past three years and am so excited to finish off my senior year with such a great student organization. I am from Pittsburgh, and am hoping to work in an ICU setting post-graduation. I look forward to meeting all new members and working with you all this coming year!

Olivia Reed - CON Ambassador

My name is Olivia Reed and I am a junior from DuBois, PA which is a small town only a little over an hour from State College. I have been an active member of SNAPS since my freshman year but this will be my first year on the Board of Directors. Throughout my time in SNAPS, I have gotten more involved on campus, participated in THON, and got to meet nursing students who have become some of my closest friends. I am so excited to see everything we accomplish and for another great year!

Grace Stampien - Social Chair

I’m Grace, a senior from Scranton, Pennsylvania, and this will be my second year serving on the board. I have been an active member of SNAPS since my freshman year and have loved every minute of it. I am super excited to be your Social Chair at Hershey this year and look forward to planning lots of fun events and making memories with you all!

Sofia Ludwig - THON Co-Chair

My name is Sofia, and I am from Bridgewater, NJ! I am a senior, and I am currently working towards earning a minor in Bioethics & Medical Humanities. I have been an active member of SNAPS since my freshman year, and I have served as the THON Finance Chair and the THON Executive Chair on the SNAPS BOD over the past two years. THON 2023 was a truly inspiring experience, and I am so excited to return this year as a Hershey THON Chair! I am looking forward to working with our new team of THON chairs, spending time with our families (the Packers and the Steigelmans) and growing closer with the THON community. Let’s make THON 2024 a year to remember, FTK!

Jill Demcher - THON Co-Chair

My name is Jill and will be a senior this fall! I will be one of the Hershey THON chairs and this will make my third year of being a THON chair for SNAPS! I am super excited to see what THON 2024 bring to the table and can’t wait to meet our new members!

Megan Ambrose

Instructor in Nursing & SNAPS Advisor (UP)

Megan Ambrose, RN, MSN received her Bachelor’s of Science in Nursing from the University of Scranton and a Master’s of Science in Nursing from Kaplan University. She is currently working on her Doctor of Nursing Practice – Family Nurse Practitioner degree at Pennsylvania State University. Megan is an Instructor at Pennsylvania State University and teaches Nursing Care of Children and Adolescents, Medical-Surgical Nursing for the Adult, and Health Assessment. She serves as the Faculty Advisor to the Student Nurses’ Association at Penn State University, as well as the THON Faculty Advisor for University Park campus. 

Paul Logan M.S.N, CRNP, ACNP-BC - Hershey

Instructor in Nursing & SNAPS Advisor (HY)

Paul Logan is a cardiovascular nurse practitioner who has taught pharmacology at Penn State since 2015. He has a long history with the Student Nurses Association of Pennsylvania, having served as Vice President and President as a student and advisor to the board of directors following his graduation from college. He was later made an honorary member, in recognition of his service to the organization.

Paul serves as an advisor to the Student Nurses Association at Penn State – Hershey. He was awarded 2019 SNAP Faculty Adviser of the Year. Paul lives in Mechanicsburg with his wife—also a nurse practitioner and former SNAPS member—and their four children.
